About Our Club

The Texas Hill Country Fly Fishers centered in the Fredericksburg-Kerrville region of Texas is more than 120 fly fishers of all skill levels from all walks of life.   Connect with friendly people who know how to enjoy fly fishing Texas Hill Country creeks, ponds, and rivers.  As conservationists, we are a charter chapter of Fly Fishers International and FFI's Texas Council.

THCFF's Fly Tying Night

Learn to tie. The Club's monthly Fly Tying Night is open to everyone interested in learning, zero experience to expert tiers.  Meetings at least monthly, usually the 3rd or 4th Thursday.  Check the event schedule.

THCFF's Annual Trout Lease

The Catch-&-Release Trout Lease Program is available to THCFF members and partnering clubs as a paid membership upgrade. Each year, spring-fed creeks and rivers are leased from private land owners and stocked with 2-4 year old trout.

Casting For Recovery

GoodFly

Reel Recovery

The mission of Casting for Recovery (CfR) is to empower women in treatment or recovery from breast cancer through oncology-informed retreats. These retreats connect women to each other and to nature using the therapeutic sport of fly fishing—and are offered at no cost.

GoodFly conducts free, one-day fly casting workshops for first responders. Our program proposes to make health and well-being benefits available through free fly-casting and fly tying instruction. We end the day by bank fishing on a pond, lake or river

The mission of Reel Recovery is to help men cope with the impact of cancer by introducing them to the healing powers of the sport of fly-fishing, while providing a safe, supportive environment to explore their personal experiences of cancer with others who share their stories.
